Release Notes September 2026
Features and Updates we shipped in September 2026
Feature highlight: Generic notes
🆕 What's new
Admins and organization managers can now leave free-text notes on user profiles: on drivers, customers, organization managers and other admins. Drivers and customers can write notes on their own profile too, from the driver app or the dashboard. Visibility is set per note: when you write one, you choose the roles that may read it. A note on a driver can stay between admins, include the managers of that driver's organization, or include the driver themselves.
🦾 Why this is important
Until now, unstructured operational context had nowhere reliable to live, at best a metadata field anyone can overwrite. Notes give it a place. Every note records not just its author and the time, but the channel it came through: the dashboard, the driver app or the API, down to the name of the API key that was used. And because notes can't be edited or removed, they double as a reliable audit trail.
🔜 What's next
Notes are a general mechanism, and users are only the first thing they attach to. Bookings, tours and packages will follow. Other parts of the platform will also start using notes to record their actions. The driver restrictions further down these release notes already do it, automatically logging who restricted a driver and why.
More features and updates
Active tour experience in the driver app
We've reworked the active tour experience in the driver app. The active stop, the one the driver is currently heading to, now displays the labels you configure in the Driver experience settings on the dashboard. The tour details screen gives a more compact overview of the whole tour, and every stop is tappable, opening a dedicated stop details screen. Behind this sits a substantial rework of our platform to improve performance and stability. The apps are currently being tested, and we'll start rolling them out in September.
Restricting drivers from going online
You can now restrict a driver from going online without fully blocking their account. Restricted drivers stay signed in and can reach support, but they can't go online until the restriction is lifted. Each restriction requires a reason, which the driver sees when they try to go online, and every restriction is automatically logged in the driver's profile. The feature is rolling out and will be available in the first weeks of September.
Filtering bookings, tours and packages by ID
On the Bookings, Tours and Packages pages of the dashboard, you can now filter by ID or external ID using the existing search bar. An ID filter returns its match unconditionally: the other filters applied to the page, such as date range or status, are ignored. Alongside this change, full-text search retention is now enforced at 7 days by default.
